Resting Places
Maplewood has many sections within the cemetery that allow for different ways to mark the burial site and commemorate your loved one's life. Whether it is a traditional upright headstone, flush marker, bevel or slant marker, we can guide you to what is appropriate and allowed in the section that you have selected.
The Chapel Mausoleum At Maplewood
The first phase of Maplewood Chapel Mausoleum was completed in 2004 and since then we have added 2 more phases with a total of 396 crypts and 144 outside niches. We added 2 beautiful wood and glass columbariums for cremated remains. Recently we added a bronze and glass lit columbarium which has become the center attraction inside the Chapel.
The calm and peaceful Chapel features chairs for quiet contemplation and trees to leave loved ones notes and cards. Inside crypts and niches offer peace away from the elements.
The Chapel Mausoleum can be a wise financial choice for you.
Unlike what most people think, mausoleum entombment can be more cost-effective than ground burial when you factor in the cost of a plot, burial vault, monument and cemetery fees for a foundation. Please call the office to allow us to perform a cost comparison for you.
Both the indoor and outdoor crypts are stunning and can be adorned with vases, photographic cameos and emblems if desired. We offer mausoleum space for one or two and will also allow for cremated remains to be included in a crypt in most instances.
Outside niches for cremated remains have space for two urns. (must check size of urn before inurnment)
Indoor, glass-front niches offer single and double spaces and have room for photos and mementos.
Private mausoleums are also allowed. Please call the office for more information.
Ground Burials
The cemetery at Maplewood provides many different ways to mark a burial site and commemorate a life within our carefully planned grounds. You may select an upright or flat marker or private mausoleum.
In all cases the cemetery has regulations regarding the design, materials and size of memorials that protect the aesthetic quality of the historic landscape. Before making any arrangements to purchase a memorial, be sure to check with us first.
